First Aid on Site “Arts & Care” program was founded by Sabrina Schreck, owner of 8aCookie, who wants to share her passion for arts like baking, dancing, and promoting health in April 2020.
At the beginning of Covid Pandemic, members of "Art & Care" created Public Service Announcement videos for the public.
"Wearing Masks Can Save Lives"* was created to educate and advocate the public to wear masks to protect lives.
"Stay Home Cookie Baking Fun"* was created to demonstrate the fun of home baking. This video encourages people to stay positive during a challenging time. Baking can be a therapeutic and enjoyable activity that can help to improve mental well-being.
In November 2020, Members of "Art & Care" also delivered homemade cookies to "Alternative for Girls", a nonprofit organization in downtown Detroit to help homeless and high-risk girls and young women avoid violence, teen pregnancy and exploitation. This activity shows the importance of giving back to the community and supporting those in need.
Art & Care's efforts serve as a good example of how people can come together and use their talents and resources to make a difference during crisis. Such actions can help to build a stronger and more supportive community and bring hope and comfort to those who are facing challenges.
